Our Story: Celebrating our Family's Journey

Anastasia and her family share with us their story, speaking to the ways in which their support of her as a transgender woman made all the difference. Many trans children attempt to articulate their identity to parents who do not or cannot support them and instead seek to suppress their identity through denial, punishment and shame. By contrast, Anastasia’s family embraced their responsibility to provide her with a supportive and loving environment.
